Get the Buzz on Bees: An Evening with Les Crowder, author of Top Bar Beekeeping

Friday, February 8, 2013

Les Crowder has been a beekeeper for over thirty years. He is known for developing what he calls “the topbar hive”. He discovered that the angles forming the bottom of a hexagon were ideal to house hives, allowing the bees to hang combs that would not be too heavy to remove, had little or no side attachment and were easy to build.

Les has been teaching beekeeping classes since 1983. Come hear best beekeeping practices and learn what you can do to keep your bees healthy and happy.
