Collected in 1979 in the Manzano Mountains of northern New Mexico, where it was dry-farmed.  A Spanish introduction to the Southwest, used primarily as a dried pea for soups and stews.   A cool season crop in the low desert.  From our Seed Bank Collection. 

• Origin: high desert, about 7500' elevation.
• Approx. 10g/50 seeds per packet.
