Texas Wild Cherry

  • TM012
  • Solanum lycopersicum.  All we really know is that seed of this tomato was collected from a patch of apparently "wild" tomatoes in southern Texas. Sprawling plants produce tons of small, tasty, cherry-type tomatoes. Early-maturing and very productive! One of the stars of our 2012 tomato trials in Patagonia, Arizona (4000'), they've also been super productive in our 2021 Tucson grow-out.  From our Seed Bank Collection.

    • Approx. 0.1g/40 seeds per packet.
    • Indeterminate.
    • Limit 3 packets.
  • $3.95

Easy to start

Very easy to grow, my grandpa had them in south tx, I ordered seeds from here and they are the same.

Lots of seedlings 5 stars so far

42 seedlings potted up this week from one packet. Will have lots of plants to give away. Looking forward to warmer nights to get them outside. (First-timer)

Very cool little tomato

I planted some in big pots outdoors in early spring, when the nights were dropping down in the 50's and they didn't come up and I gave up on them. But, a month later, when the nights warmed up, they popped up and are growing fast now. I was able to transplant the extras to the garden very easily.

Great tomatoes, difficult to start

I’ve only had two plants successfully grow from seeds I planted - but they volunteer seeded my whole garden, and the plants are large and prolific with amazingly sweet and juicy fruit.
