  • Zea mays.  A sixth generation cross between Anasazi and Tuxedo, this sweet corn was bred by the late Jonathon Spero, organic breeder from Southern Oregon. Festivity has large deep kernels excellent for roasting or cutting off the cob.  2 ears per plant.  A hint of color at milk (fresh eating) stage ripens to bright multicolored ears at maturity.  Not from our seed bank collection, but your purchase supports our conservation mission.

ANCIENT SEED

9,000 years ago natives genetically selected grass called Teosinate to modify that plant into what became Maize or corn… Since I am interested in this ag history I went to Native Seed Search for Teosinate seed where else would find such seed ????

We haven't planted yet, its still too hot, our fall growing season starts very soon. It was still 111 degrees on Sunday! We are waiting for the 100 degree days and 75 degrees nights. Arizona zone 10b growing area.
