Azufrado Bush Bean

  • PC210
  • Phaseolus vulgaris.  A bush bean from Banámichi, Sonora, where it used to be grown widely.  Mostly used as a dry bean but also works as a green bean.  Has a shorter season than other beans of the area. The beans are yellow when fresh, turning brown with age (those pictured are a few years old).  From our Seed Bank Collection.

    • Origin: Low desert, about 2200' elevation
    • Bush bean
    • Approx. 14g/50 seeds per packet.

I did not plant this bean yet, the seasonal timing is not right. I will plant it next summer. Obviously you have this request on some automated system which is out of sync with how gardens are planted. Seeds are living things, not inert products.
