• Mata Ortiz is a small village in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, less than 100 miles from the US-Mexico border. The pueblo has a population of approximately 2,000 people and is within the municipality of Casa Grandes in a wide fertile valley, which has long been inhabited by indigenous people. The ancient ruins of Casas Grandes are located nearby
• NOTE: THIS POT HAS A TINY CHIP ON THE RIM THAT OCCURED DURING UNPACKING (SEE PHOTOS). IT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 1/16th OF AN INCH WIDE AND BARELY 1/4 OF AN INCH LONG. IT IS BLACK IN COLOR, IS NOT VISIBLE WHEN FACING THE POT STRAIGHT ON, ONLY WHEN VIEWED FROM ABOVE. THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE POT HAS NOT BEEN AFFECTED IN ANY WAY.
