Seri Woven Hair Pin
This unique basketry hair pin is hand woven by the Konkaak (Seri) People of Sonora, Mexico. It is made from the fibers of the torote plant which is gathered in the desert and the handcarved wooden pin is made from ironwood. Measures approximately 4" wide and 2 1/4" in height.
The Seri Villages of Punta Chueca and El Desemboque are located between Hermosillo and Kino Bay on the Coast of the Sea of Cortez. There are between 600 and 800 residents total.
