Handcrafted, pitch covered sheep effigy pot, by well known Navajo potter Silas Claw (1913-2002) from Shonto/Cow Springs, Navajo Nation. His work can be seen in collections at the Smithsonan American Art Museum.

Hand built pot covered in pinion pine pitch, fire clouds evident from traditional firing methods

Measures approximately 4.5 inches high and 8.5 inches in wide (head to head, nose to nose) and 4.25 inches in diameter with a 2 inch opening
