Javelina with Saguaro Sculpture

This handwoven basket sculpture is by Fred Cruz and measures approximately 7 inches at it's highest point with a 6.5 inch base. 

Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving. The interior green coils (warp) are native Beargrass and the white stitches (weft) woven around the coils are sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca, the green stitching used for the saguaro and Javelina is unbleached Soaptree Yucca.
