Miniature Owl Lidded Basket

This handwoven miniature owl basket with removeable lid (head) is by Mary Thomas and measures approximately 2.25 inches high and 1.5 inches wide.

Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving. The interior green coils (warp) are native beargrass and the white stitches (weft) woven around the coils are sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca, the black stitching used for the eyes is Devil's Claw Pod.

Keep away from sunlight to maintain color variations.
