Phaseolus vulgaris. A bush bean from central Sonora, this is the preferred bean among the locals in the region these days. Mostly used as a dry bean but can be eaten as a green bean as well. Our partner farmer in Banámichi grew out seeds received from Moctezuma, Sonora at about 2200' elevation. From our Seed Bank Collection.
