This handwoven round basket is by Sophie Saraficio and measures approximately 9 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep.

Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving. The interior green coils (warp) are native Beargrass and the white stitches (weft) woven around the coils are sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca, the green stitching used for the design and basket edge is unbleached Soaptree Yucca. Ocotillo Blooms and Saguaro Fruit are made with red yucca, a rare material.
