Phaseolus vulgaris. A surprising mix of large white and tan beans with a few exotics. Our collectors purchased white beans from this Chihuahuan farmer, but when grown out under controlled conditions at our farm, those white beans produced a multicolored mix, unveiling other colorful bean varieties grown on that farmer's land. From the remote area of Cumbre de Huerachi above the Sinforosa Canyon in the Sierra Madre of Chihuahua. An interesting look at biodiversity in action in that particular location.
