Load image into Gallery viewer, This nicely handwoven polychrome basket is from circa 1980, weaver unknown, and measures approximately 4.5 inches in diameter and .75 inches deep. Coils measure approx.&nbsp; .25 inches wide. Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving. The interior coils are native Beargrass and the white, closed stitches surrounding the coils are sun bleached Soaptree Yucca. The green stitching is unbleached Soaptree Yucca, and the dark red material used in the design is rare Yucca Root.
