Zea mays. A rich and creamy white sweet corn bred by the late Jonathan Spero of Lupine Knoll Farm in southwest Oregon. This variety is selected more for creaminess and corn flavor than for sweetness. Perfect for corn on the cob or for soup, salsa and chowder. Spero crossed an old variety called "Anasazi" with "Tuxedo", a hybrid sweet corn and has stabilized this cross with 8 years of selection. 6 1/2 foot plants usually bear 2 good ears with 14 to 16 rows. Not from our seed bank collection, but your purchase supports our conservation mission.
