Produced well in Southern Nevada!

I planted a small patch of O'odham Blue and White June corn in a raised bed around mid-July. By the time the tassels were coming, the silks were too. I did hand pollinate, as I had under 15 stalks. I will plant a bit earlier next year, to allow more drying time on the stalk before it gets cold, but I was happily surprised by my beautiful harvest today, November 29! I'll let the corn dry in the warmth of the house, then grind into cornmeal. I enjoy growing enough dent corn to grind for special cornbread or mush. I look forward to tasting it, and will give an update on the flavor.
