    Lots of Borscht!

    Most seeds germinated, had to thin. Both the beetroot and greens were delicious. Started in the spring and harvested through November.

    Great

    Grew these in the spring and they have done very well. Large greens and small to medium roots, just like the picture. Greens have held up well in warmer temperatures (80s) and the insects seem to avoid them. Great flavor, too. Will definitely grow again. San Antonio, TX, zone 8b.

    Very low germination rate

    I got 1 seed to germinate out of 3 dozen that I seeded and reseeded. So here I am 1.5 months after my first seeding with much fewer beets than desired while other people I know have bunches, including the person who shares a plot with me and has identical soil and watering habits. I have to think the issue is with the seeds. I bought some from home depot last week and did a third seeding so I'll soon be able to truly see if it's the seeds or something else.

    I'm sorry you had trouble sprouting your beet seeds. We run regular germination tests on every seed variety we sell to be sure they are healthy seeds. This variety recently passed with flying colors, testing at 84% germination. However, there are many things that can affect germination, such as temperature, pests, and more.
