  • DC080
  • Capsicum annuum var. glabriusculum.

Wild-harvested chile originally from central Sonora, Mexico. These chiltepin plants produce small fruits that pack a punch. Try them sprinkled over vanilla ice cream ... or use to spice any food you like!  Immature green fruits are traditionally pickled.    Germination of chiltepins can be difficult.  We've had good success with this variety and others using our recommended method.   From our Seed Bank Collection

    • Approx. 0.1g/25 seeds per packet.
    • Can live as perennials in the low desert.  If well mulched, they can grow back from the roots if frost damages the plant.
    • Limit 3 packets.

Love it

All of the seeds we have purchased have done very well and we appreciate being able to grow vegetables and flowers that will thrive in our climate. Even my chiltipins have sprouted! Thank you all so much.
