Pisum sativum.  Originally collected in 1981 from Santa Rosa Village on the Tohono O'odham Nation. Mature peas are good in soups and stews. Also, pods can be used as snow peas when very young, or eat as fresh shelling peas before the peas fill the pod.  Smooth, green seeds. Produced well at Tucson Conservation Center in Tucson and at the Patagonia Farm (4,000'). From our Seed Bank Collection.
