Indigenous Seeds > Sorghum
Sorghum bicolor. Originally from Africa. Introduced to the US as a animal forage, grain and sugar source. The prolific plants are heat and drought tolerant. Stalks are chewed for their sweet juices. An excellent warm-weather cover crop to renew tired soils in arid regions. Deep roots can till compacted soil and introduce organic matter. Approx. 2g/75 seeds per packet.
