      • Ocimum basilicum. A strong smelling medicinal plant commonly grown in Sonora, Mexico. Good for cooking and flavoring vinegars and oils. The white and pink/purple flowers make it an attractive garden plant. From our Seed Bank Collection.

      • Plant in spring and summer, approximately 1/4 inch deep.

    Delicious!

    The flavor on this is my favorite, it's gentler and not as overpowering as other basil varieties. Great addition to a salad or just eaten as a snack. I grow it in Northern Colorado and it seems to stay on the small side, but that means it can easily fit right under my tomatoes.
