Teresa (she/her) cares for crops in seed growouts— seeds that are arid-adapted with ancestral traditions, history, and significance. She values time spent at the farm, physically observing all phases of crop growth and learning from the plants with the farm team. She connects with partner farmers to facilitate stewardship of region-specific varieties, to help expand the reach of resilient, native seeds to more growers and communities.
Teresa is a landscape architect, community gardener, multidisciplinary artist, and a co-organizer of community art events focused on the sensory offerings of the Sonoran desert. She has a Master's in Landscape Architecture with a focus on Ecological Restoration from Tyler School of Art & Architecture, and a BA in Film Studies from Connecticut College.
