Ramona Farms tepary beans are delicious. So happy the farmer has kept this heirloom variety alive. It’s wonderful to be able to eat indigenous food, grown by a family farmer, that is healthy. Have tried both white and brown tepary beans. Both are great. Recipes are also provided with the beans.
Loved the flavor of these delicious beans in chili.
Will buy again
I love these. Teparies make the smoothest refrieds I've ever had. Very mild taste, tan and brown varieties. All the historical varieties of beans I've tried have a rich flavor the grocery beans don't have, with the exception of adzukis. If you haven't sprung for these treasures, you should give them a try!
I've tried several of the tepary bean varieties, and this is my favorite. A slightly sweet and nutty flavor with a wonderful mouth-feel. I use a slow-cooker with a little bit of bullion. Delicious.
