Pisum Sativum.  A smooth tan and green  soup pea introduced by the Spanish to the southwest. From Truchas, New Mexico at 8,000'. Plants grow to 4' - 5 ' tall.  This was the earliest maturing pea in our 2011 trials in Patagonia. Quite productive in our 2025 growout in Tucson.   From our Seed Bank Collection.

• Origin: High desert, from around 8000' elevation
