    • Brassica oleracea.  Beautiful, red version of the famous Golden Acre with larger, 2-3 lb. heads. Red Acre takes 2 weeks more to mature, but stores better and longer in root cellars or refrigerators. Also has far higher vitamin C content than green cabbages. Not from our seed bank collection, but your purchase supports our conservation mission.

    • Plant in fall in the low desert.

Great seeds!

We planted Tucson, Oct 18 and weren't sure how many seeds would sprout so we planted a lot - and ALL of them popped up. It was hard to thin them! We probably have more than we should in the space, but all the cabbage is coming along.

The extra sprouts were so delicious. Definitely will be planting all of the seeds again of future seed packet - the sprouts are just that good, can't wait to try the cabbage!
