Zea mays.  Gorgeous deep ruby-red to bright fire-engine red kernels borne on slender ears.  One of our partner farmers purchased this corn from a Santo Domingo farmer, and has grown it a few times.  Corn stalks and silks vary from green to maroon red, showing a high anthocyanin content, good for health!  The plants can grow to about 6-7' tall under good conditions.  Not from our Seed Bank Collection, but your purchase supports our conservation efforts.
