Navajo Winter Watermelon

Citrulus lanatus.  Round, pale green fruits with slight striping. Pale pink to red flesh. From the Shiprock area. Stores well into the winter months if unbruised, which is why it's called a winter watermelon.  From our Seed Bank Collection
