Large, incredibly beautiful runner beans from high elevation lands of the Rarámuri in the Sierra Madre in Chihuahua, Mexico.  The red flowers attract and feed hummingbirds.  The dry beans are large and creamy of texture ... wonderful for soups and stews. 


These beans will not produce in the low desert ... runner beans drops their blossoms when temperatures get above 85 to 90 degrees F, especially in our dry heat, and cannot produce fruit.  From our Seed Bank Collection.
