    • Zea mays.  This lovely variety was originally collected from an elder farmer at Acoma Pueblo in 1987, where it was mostly dry farmed but with irrigation available.  The small kernels are traditionally ground for atole.  Recently grown out by one of our partner farmers.  Ears 9-10" long on plants that grow to 6-7'.  From our Seed Bank Collection.

      • Origin: High desert, about 6600' elevation
      • About 67 days to flowering and 130 days to dry seed harvest
      • Contents: ± 50 seeds (9 g).
