    • Zea mays.  A flinty, yellow corn, often ground and used to make an especially flavorful pinole. From the remote Rancho Camacho, near Piedras Verdes in Sonora.  From our Seed Bank Collection.

      • A flint corn but starchy caps may appear on some kernels. 
      • Origin: low desert, about 650' elevation.
      • Plant about 6' tall.
      • Approx. 13g/50 seeds per packet.
