Zea mays. This collection was being grown in the sierra above the Rio Urique (in Chihuahua, Mexico) but the seed had originally been brought from La Bufa in Copper Canyon. Kernels are mostly yellow or white with some smoky apricot colored as well, possibly due to a chapalote influence. From our Seed Bank Collection.
