Beautiful and Delicate Oval Split Stitch Basket

This handwoven Tohono O'odham round basket is by Myra Marks and measures approximately 7 inches long, by 5.5 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep. 

Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving. The interior green coils (warp) are native Beargrass and the white stitches (weft) woven around the coils are sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca. 

Keep away from sunlight to maintain color variations.
