Very Fine Small Round Basket with Blossom Motif

This very finely handwoven Tohono O'odham round basket is by Laurie Manuel and measures approximately 4.5 inches in diameter and .75 inches deep. Coils are approximately 1/8 of an inch wide. Collector's piece!

Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving. The interior green coils (warp) are native Beargrass and the white stitches (weft) woven around the coils are sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca, the green stitching used for the design is unbleached Soaptree Yucca.

Keep away from sunlight to maintain color variations.
