  • Life of Good Will

A couple stands together surrounded by elements of the Hopi world. The male with two lines upon each cheek symbolizes strength and protection. His cloths carry plant and rain designs. Next to him is a prayer bundle and disc symbolizing the earth, together bringing blessings to all life. The woman carries rain designs upon her cheeks with corn seed symbols woven into her dress or manta. Both designs represent the ability to give life. Next to her grows a blue corn plant adapted by the Hopi to grow in a desert environment. Surrounding the couple flutter butterflies symbolized by flowers, both elements with the desert rains. Above the rain clouds rises the sun among stars and a spiral representing the journey the couple take through life.
