    • Zea mays.  This is a concho-type corn, traditionally used for making chicos or for posole or tortillas.  Flinty pearl-white kernels on 6-8" ears, with occasional pink-tinged kernels; The 3-5' stalks are tolerant of cool, high elevations. From the Jicarilla Apache reservation in New Mexico.  From our Seed Bank Collection.
