    Whoops! Did better than anticipated

I ordered these just to test them, germination rates are not always as claimed. Unfortunately for me, I didn't plant them in rows, I simply scattered them in a raised bed. They did absolutely nothing until the first storm of the season a couple weeks back, and now I have a raised bed with at last count 170 baby onions coming up.

I grow for the purposes of providing vegetable plants as a means of self-sufficiency for those experiencing food insecurity as well as for community gardens for the underserved. I have yet to find a good onion for transplant. I think I found it here! Will definitely be ordering more to add to the offerings that I already have.

NS If you have organizations or communities that could use my plants, whether they're from your seeds or not, please reach out to me. You have my email. They are free to those who need them.

    Seed gift

I canโ€™t really say anything about the seeds because they were a gift to a gardener friend as a thank you. If I hear anything else from them after they are planted, Iโ€™ll update the review.

    Superb flavor

These little beauties were a bit slow to get going this year. We sowed all the seeds at once in '24 spring in a raised bed, intending to thin as they grew. All of them sprouted and grew very well. We thinned them out occasionally and we munched on the delicious stems raw on salads and stir fries. Love these onions.
