A. hypochondriachus x A. hybridus. Guarijio Grain. From the Rio Mayo in Sonora, Mexico, grain used for tamales, pinole (a traditional Mexican drink), or popping. Try popping the grain over a dry, hot pan and add to granola, fruit salads, or mix with honey to make traditional Mexican alegria. Inflorescences range from light yellow-green to pink to fuschia.
