Reed (they/them) started as a volunteer in 2024 and is currently serving their second AmeriCorps term with NS/S. They have a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona and a history in trail work, ecological restoration, and dendrochronology. Through their time with Borderlands Restoration Network and NS/S, Reed
has gained a deep appreciation for the importance of working with seeds and hopes to continue planting for a sustainable future.
Reed is also an artist and enjoys working in oils and wood burning. Their practice is shaped by a career in conservation and highlights the hidden details of the natural world. Reed's paintings have been shown at Tohono Chul, Untitled Gallery, and in various group shows around Tucson.
