Cucurbita argyrosperma. Grown for the tasty and nutritious silver colored seeds. Seeds are easily extracted from the silver edged hull. Seeds are roasted for pepitas or used in pipián sauce. The fruit flesh was traditionally used as animal fodder. The beautiful round, flattened fruits are white with prominent green mottled stripes. From our Seed Bank Collection.
