Phaseolus acutifolius.  These beans are very round for teparies, with beige speckles on light gray. From highland areas in southern Mexico, they were originally selected out of Blue Speckled (PT079). High yielding. Does not tolerate low desert heat. From our Seed Bank Collection.

• Limit 3 packets.

 

*Tepary beans grow best in hot, dry regions with minimal water or irrigation. Overwatering (in any climate) will cause the plants to look very leafy and healthy, but they'll produce few, if any beans. Out of region the desert Southwest) results may vary.
