Apache Red "Sugarcane"

Sorghum bicolor.  The beautiful red seedheads attract birds, and the stalk is chewed like candy when the red seeds are ripe. Collected at the San Carlos Apache Reservation, Arizona in 1986. From our Seed Bank Collection.

• Origin: low desert, about 3000' elevation
• Plants average 8.75' tall
• Approx. 2g/75 seeds per packet.
