    • Phaseolus vulgaris.  A beautiful large bean with "star" pattern of black specks radiating over cream-beige background. Originally collected from a Tepehuan farmer in Nabogame, near Guadalupe y Calvo in Chihuahua, Mexico. This pole bean is late-maturing at the Conservation Farm in Patagonia, Arizona. Not suitable for northern latitudes.  Plant at monsoon in low elevations or in summer in higher elevations. From our Seed Bank Collection.
