Cucumis melo. Oval, ribbed, mostly smooth-skinned typical native melon. Orange flesh and sweet flavor. Collected in Jemez Pueblo in 1990. Conservation Farm favorite!  For this and other thin skinned melons, turn the growing melons once a week to keep them from developing a soft spot where they touch the ground.
