Hellen Harty, Conservation Garden Associate, Americorps

Hellen started as a volunteer at NS/S in June of 2023. Born and raised in Tucson, she recently moved back home after working in comedy and television production in Los Angeles. She is passionate about sustainable relationships between plants, people, and the environment, which led her to completing a certificate course in Sonoran Permaculture Design through the Sonoran Permaculture Guild in Tucson. She is immensely grateful to continue learning about native and arid-adapted plants and their connection to people while apprenticing at NS/S.
