Zea mays.  Hopi Blue. A soft blue flour corn traditionally dry-farmed below the Hopi mesas. Deep rooted and drought tolerant, loves sandy soil. Blue kernels are ground to make piki bread. From our Seed Bank Collection.

  • Plants tend to be short (less than 5 ft. tall with tassels)
  • Cobs 6 to 9 inches
