Beautifully detailed carving of the Hopi Brown Badger (Honan) Katsina with rattle and bow and is wearing a concho belt, sash and foxtail. Brown Badger usually appears in the summer dances to bring abundant rain for crops, and is also a knowleagable healer that uses plants and herbs for curative potions.


Hand carved from cottonwood root by Colleen Talahytewa from Moenkopi, Arizona, approximately 40 miles west of Third Mesa, near Tuba City.

Delicately carved, this Katsina measures approx. 7.25 inches high x 2 inches wide, including a 1.25 inch high x 3 inch base
