Phaseolus vulgaris. (aka Tarahumara Pink Green Bean). These pretty dry beans are pink with a pinto pattern. Some beans with a dark star-speckle pattern may appear. A day-length sensitive, late-maturing pole bean, with lilac flowers and colorful pods. Originally collected in 1983 from Cerocahui, Chihuahua. From our Seed Bank Collection.


• Origin: high desert, about 5580' elevation

• Day length sensitive; will not have time to produce well in northern climates.  Plant with monsoon rains in the low desert.
