Sunuku Choriwame


Zea mays. Tarahumara Maiz Azul.  Large blue/black kernels on medium large ears. This corn is widely used in the barrancas of the Sierra Madre. Used to make tortillas and tamales for the first harvest ceremony. It is considered that this type is makes good tesquino, Tarahumaran corn beer.
